We have been in Antigua for about 11 days now and settling into the Caribbean lifestyle. Lots of beautiful classic yachts gathering here in Falmouth harbour for Antigua Classic Regatta which starts on the 19th. Steven has found somewhere to paint but its a pretty challenging environment as its an open sided room complete with birds flying in and out, lizards and vegetation trying to get involved in the paint on his pallet!

The other great news is that Martyn Brake of MB Yachts Ltd. (builders of Wolfhound) has won the Classic Boat Magazine, yacht of the year in the 'Spirit of Tradition' over 40' class. Well done to Martyn and his amazing team. The award of certainly well deserved.

On our charter yacht in the Med, inflatables are basically daily-use equipment — towables, paddle platforms, floating loungers, you name it. The biggest issue we’ve had is UV degradation. Anything not built for marine-grade sun exposure just gets brittle fast. We switched suppliers after a season of cracked handles and fading material. A captain friend recommended Got Inflatables, and I was skeptical at first, but their reinforced stitching and thicker material actually held up through a full summer rotation. If you’re running guests constantly on and off toys, durability matters more than saving a few bucks upfront.
